Heads up poker is a type of poker where only two people can play. It can be played in cash games where there are only two players left or two players trying to start a game. It is an essential phase in many sit-and go (SNG) poker tournaments. At some point, the tournament winner will only face one opponent. You can play heads-up poker in cash game or SNG formats. Two players will compete for the winner of a tournament with a pre-determined amount of money. Sometimes, larger tournaments may be found in shoot-out format on larger online poker sites. In order to ensure fairness in the game, all players who finish at the exact same level of the tournament bracket will receive the same amount of money regardless of where they are placed.

Strategy

Heads-up poker has the same rules as games with three or more players. In community card poker, however, the blinds can be reversed to increase the positional advantage between players of similar skill. The strategy employed in heads-up poker tends to be very different from multi-handed games. The chances of getting the best hand are much greater in a heads-up game than in a multihand game. This causes the game to be more aggressive. Bluffs in a heads-up match are much easier because it only takes one player to bluff the other to win the pot. However, in a multihanded game, there is a higher chance that someone will have a huge hand and cannot be bluffed.

There are so many strategies that one could choose from.
