Criminals in Staffordshire and South Derbyshire are held in February
A young man was convicted of murder and a father threatened a girl with a pellet pistol. Also, a woman stole thousands of pounds from the school's PTA.
In February, 13 people were sentenced to prison for serious crimes including murder, drug dealing and growing cannabis.
The sentences they are serving in jail range from 27 to 20 years.

Aleks Azeiraji
After a large cannabis plant was found in a Burton home, a Burton man was arrested and sentenced.
Police raided the property after receiving information that there was something suspicious going on. They found more than 150 marijuana plants.
Following reports of suspicious activity, officers were dispatched to Evershed Way on October 4.
Officers arrived to discover a window at rear of property, which was closed off. However, they managed to get inside and found the drug factory.
A police spokesperson said that the plants and three mobile phones, more money than PS600, as well as a passport were all taken into custody.
Aleks Azeiraji 35, of Uxbridge Street Burton, was quickly arrested and charged.
After confessing to having been involved in the production cannabis, he was brought before Stafford Crown Court. He is now in jail for 20 months.
Shamraize A. Ali
After a high-speed chase by police, a 35-year old van driver was caught driving on the wrong road near Burton.
Shamraize was observed by a policeman driving a Peugeot Partner van white on the wrong-side of Burton Road. He was heading towards Burton on January 29, 2021, at approximately 2.25pm.
Ali, of Branston Street, Burton, continued overtaking vehicles at speed. After seeing cars having to stop, the officer following Ali had his lights and sirens turned off.
After being found guilty of driving without insurance and driving while disqualified, he was sentenced by Cannock Magistrates’ Court.
He has been in prison for 20 weeks, and disqualified from driving 18 months. His release will bring about the suspension. He will be required to pass an extended driving exam and pay a surcharge PS128.
Jordan Fairbrother
Swadlincote man sentenced for 27 years for his involvement in the murders of Byron Griffin.
Jordan Fairbrother will be serving a combined sentence of over 100 years for the killing of the 22 year-old man in Ilkeston.
Fairbrother was told by the court that Fairbrother and his partner had given birth last week to a child. The barrister stated that they would "grow up without their father present"
Fairbrother was "lying in waiting" to attack Byron Griffin, according to Derby's top judge.
Armed, the foursome used their weapons to attack the "much-loved" victim. The fight lasted less than a minute.
Fairbrother delivered the final blows. He stabbed Mr Griffin with a kitchen knives through his heart, DerbyshireLive reported.
He was found with two stabbing wounds in Eyre’s Garden at 12.40 on Sunday, July 4th, last year.
Mr Griffin was from East Leake and was taken to Queen's Medical Centre, Nottingham, where he died shortly after 2pm.
Jack Girvan
A drug dealer struggling with addiction jumped from his mum's bedroom window in an attempt to escape police, a judge has heard.
Jack Girvan was a drug dealer in order to finance his habit. After being caught by police three times, he was found with thousands in cash as well as evidence that he took part in marijuana and cocaine deals.
Girvan, who is currently being held at HMP Dovegate (in Marchington), was seen by police climbing out from a bedroom window at his mother’s home in Bowes Drive West Chadsmoor. Police discovered bags of drug paraphernalia as well as more than PS2,000 worth cash.
Girvan, 27, appeared in Stafford Crown Court on Friday 18 February where he pleaded guilty for seven charges of drug trafficking and possessing criminal properties, namely cash.
He acknowledged being concerned about cannabis supply in Sandpiper Close (Hednesford, Cannock) on March 26 and April 24, 2020.
He also admitted that he was concerned in cannabis supply and criminal property possession in Bowes Drive between March 26 and April 24, 2019.
He also pleaded guilty in Sandpiper Close to criminal property possession on April 21st, 2021. After his car was pulled out and his passenger found him with PS1,340 and cash on her lap, he was stopped.
He was finally pulled over in his car on November 24, 20,21. His Sandpiper Close home was then searched again.
