How To Start Playing Online Poker – Your New Journey
How to Play Online Poker - This is Your New Journey
#1: You can play any time and anywhere
An internet connection and a computer (or smart phone) are all you need. It doesn’t matter if youre in a covid prison, in Baton Rouge at a family reunion or if it’s 3am and you aren’t sleeping, or if you have only 30 minutes to go before your next Zoom class. No matter where you live or what time you are, you can play an online game.#2 - Cheap Learning
LIVE poker requires a minimum of $40. For a $1/$2 full buy-in, you will need $200. The cheapest online games are 1C//2C/ so 100 big blinds costs only $2. Everyone knows this.
2 Pounds could be used to buy a game.
Playing as low as $2 can get you as high as $1,000 and $10,000, respectively. Because poker is so cheap, it's much cheaper to learn. You might want to improve your 3bet Bluffing skills. A 9bb3bet bluff in 2C/ will only cost you 18C/. In a $2 game it will cost you $18.
#3: Multi-Game Formats
Online you can play cash, sit and win, or multi-table tournaments. If you don't wish to play limit hold 'em, there are other options. No worries. No worries. You won't be bored when you have so many options.
LIVE poker has one problem for me. A full-ring game allows you to only see about 20 hands per hour. Online, you can play as many hands as you like in a matter of minutes. You can improve your skills by playing more hands. Boredom is also reduced.
While the ultimate goal is not to play the most hands possible, it's important that you have a positive win rate (4bb/100) and a winning streak. The more hands you play, however, the more you can make per hour and 100 hands.
#5: Software
PokerTracker 4 records each hand you play. This allows you to improve and study. LIVE players will find it difficult to record details of their hands if they wish to analyze them later. Online players don’t need to worry about it. A HUD can be used to gain more details about your opponents with software.
How to start an online poker journey
For online poker, you only need a computer, internet access and the ability to deposit money. Even more important, you don’t need cash. While you can play for free poker, I do not recommend that you spend money to make a better player. Money is what you want to make sure your opponents and yourself take seriously.
Here are the steps required to start an exciting, lucrative and rewarding online poker career.
Step 1: Find the Best Sites to Use PokerTracker 4
Knowing which websites are available is essential. Google can help you find the best sites, but these are my top 3 recommendations to US players.
Americas Cardroom. This is where i play most.
[edited 9.13.21] Ignition. This website is my favorite! It has Fish and PokerTracker 4 and Smart HUDs that still work.
BetOnline. I've never been here but heard great things.
You can also play online at 888 Poker, Party Poker, PokerStars and Party Poker if you aren't in the US.
You must ensure PokerTracker 4 can be used with your chosen site before you make your choice. Get a free 14-day trial of PokerTracker 4 here. Americas Cardroom works perfectly with PT4. Ignition and BetOnline require a separate card catcher (like a PT4 hand grabber). PT4 is also compatible with PokerStars. 888 and Party Poker.

Finally, check that the site offers rakeback...
Step 2 - Look for Rakeback
Rakeback is a discount off the cost of playing poker. If you use my offer code SPSPOD to sign up at Americas Cardroom, you will receive 27% rakeback. This can save you significant amounts of money depending on how often you play.
Let's assume that $100 is the rake you pay each week. Americas Cardroom credits you account 27%, or $27.00, at the end each week. A penny saved can be a penny made in poker. Your rakeback would increase your total profit by $100 if you had $100 in profits for the week. Lovely!
Google searches are a great way to discover which sites offer rakeback. It is quick and easy.
Step 3: Create an Account
You have now found a site accepting PT4 payments and offering rakeback. It's time for you to create an account.
One quick note: You don't have to be picky about which poker site you prefer. You don't have to limit yourself to one site. It doesn't matter if you have 5 sites that you wish to play on. Pick one to get started. You can then spread your bankroll over many sites as you grow. My student plays professionally on over 20 sites.
Go to the site you want and download it. It will then guide you through setting up the software. They'll need your name, address and other personal information. You will then need to choose a screenname. My suggestion is to choose a name you feel comfortable being rich and famous with. John Barry from PokerNews.com might call you John "DungSplatter" Barry when they interview you. Make sure you think about your screen name.
You should also remember to enter any bonus codes or rakeback codes, such as code SPSPOD at Americas Cardroom.
Step 4: Make a deposit
While this is typically a part and parcel of account creation, it's important to mention as an additional step. It is the fastest and easiest way to deposit or withdraw money from websites. Some sites even offer greater bonuses for bitcoin deposits.
Credit cards used to be the easiest method of depositing money. However, credit card companies have strict rules regarding gambling sites.
I recommend bitcoin. I borrowed over $1,000 from ACR last night and it took me less than 24 hours to get it. I sold the bitcoin, and then transferred the cash into my checking account. In less than one day, my money was mine. I used to have to wait 6 weeks before getting my checks from the sites.
Coinbase is a great place to buy and sell bitcoin. This link will get you $10 off your first $100 purchase of bitcoin at Coinbase. how toiconsimize online poker francesco and mason promotions
